Technically, a filler is a part of the plot that doesn't appear in the manga. It's true that fillers are usually made when the anime has already caught up to the manga and the studio can't go on with the main plot or in order for the anime to stay behind the manga so that this won't happen. I usually support fillers, if they are enjoyable then the more the merrier. moreover, it develops the plot in more varied direction than the manga which usually focuses on one main storyline. this is particularly true for Naruto, since the entire series is just a prologue to Shippuden, it's nice for it to have a plot of its own. lastly, some fillers develop the characters to new extents such as the ones with Anko, and some turn the spotlight on characters who hardly appear in the main plot (yay Tenten!).
and yeah, the fillers start right after the "retrieve sasuke" arc.

the fillers are made up stuf so we don't cauch up to the manga and have nothing to animate bt i wish they lauched the fillers when that happened

Kun is used to address a boy. Chan for girls. San is translated as Miss or Mister. Sama is for somebody worth respecting. Sometimes, Naruto is called Naruto-kun maybe because he is seen as a boy and not as an adult.

cmon get over the hole Sasuke thing and stop with the boring inbetween missions. They are boring the best missions they had so far are land of the waves'the 1 with gaara fighting Naruto and the big hunting down sasuke 1which i do not get at all since sasuke is a stupid wanker who is arogent cocky and is mean to Sakura and Naruto

i'm pretty sure filler is just episodes that the person makes so that the show doesn't get ahead of the manga series. i'm pretty sure the filler starts when sasuke leaves the village. and if your tired of the filler just skip to shippuden..
