I really hate the way that only parts of Naruto has sick fighting, some of the best, but is always rudely interrupted by this on going banter of flash backs and talking.
Look, Naruto and Sasuke have a sick fight here but they drag it through like 10 bloody episodes. Bleach has less talking and more action thus the fight scenes can be more enjoyable.
If Naruto had continuous fighting it would definitely be worth being the number 1 anime.
I'm just glad Shippuuden has seen this problem and made the fight scenes, along with the new graphics engine, really good

WTF!?! how did sasuke get his shoes back? since he woke up in the middle of the night in the house in his bed when he discovered itachi killing everyone, he definitely wasnt wearing shoes. and when he ran i REALLY doubt he would stop to put on shoes when he is running for his life. and yet when he goes back to the house to see the scene of the crime he takes his shoes OFF! when did they ever get ON? and since itachi just killed the entire police force, who on earth put up the police tape and took all the bodies?

I think Itach wants sasuke to live becuase Itachi has the Mongekyou Sharigan and those Sharigan make you slowly go blind so Itach needs to pluck out Sasuke's eyes so he doesnt become blind. Konohoa was the first person to do this thing.

Sasuke has become Itachi, and Naruto Sasuke. I think, Sasuke is Itachis test experiment, so see if hate really works, and is possible to become stronger with it. If it is, Itachii will die. Itachi says he killed the clan to test his power....and he lets sasuke live becuase sasuke has the potential to become very strong. so Itachi lets him live so that Sasuke can become strong and then Itachi can further test his power.

But he doesn't want to fight him till he has Mankeyou Sharingan. To get that you have to kill your best friend. So Sasuke became friends with Naruto so he could kill him and get Mankeyou Sharingan. ^_^

itachi did have some affection but that was before the change, and itachi didnt care if he killed tha clan off and had guilt because he already killed his best friend to get the mangekyou, i think itachi knows more about the sharingan and kept sasuke alive because he either hopes for someone to beat him and/or he realises that sasuke may be able to reach a power that he never thought of and he wants to test it, kinda like a 6th version of the sharingan,(not itachis mangekyou or kakashi's wich is in the future, but there is a deeper meaning behind why he kept sasuke alive, not because of guilt or a test of strength, sure we dont kno it yet but it will come later

Well I think he didn't kill him because he had some kind of affection for Sasuke. I get that from the episode where their father tells them that he was going with him on the mission and not attending sauke's first day at school. So he said he would go and not go to the mission instead. Also Sasuke was the only one who got a hold on him when they accused him of killing the clan member, In some way itachi always protected and loved Sasuke and he didn't want him to become like him
